Chinese Liquor, or Baijiu, is a clear distilled spirit based on sorghum. It is China’s favourite spirit. In fact, it is the most popular spirit, by volume, in the entire world. That’s because more of it is drunk every year than any other spirit. That includes spirits such as Whisky and Vodka. Kaoliang is a type of Baijui.
We have taken our Classic Kaoliang Baijiu and aged it in American Barrels for no less than 6 months. This Barrel aged Baijiu is for those who like an extra dimension of character, flavour and sweetness. Some would say it’s in between a Baijiu and Whisky and is the perfect gateway for Baijiu and Whisky lovers to cross over. The American Oak imparts a strong, sweet & creamy finish.
Australian distilled East Coast Baijiu's Kaoliang Liquor is made from 100% Australian grown red sorghum. An imported specialised Kaoliang yeast is used to bring out the complex tastes and aromas that Baijiu drinkers love.
