Every year we take delicious black cherries from Spreyton Orchards in northern Tasmania and soak them in the Trophy winning Anther Dry Gin to create our glorious take on a sloe gin, Anther Cherry Gin. In 2019, with the help of 15 volunteers, we hand pitted more than 10,000 luxurious black cherries. Every year, after maceration and a touch of sugar, we choose the final blend by taste, and this year is stronger at 33.5% alcohol. The 2019 harvest is a little bolder than the 2018, with hints of cacao emerging from the rich cherry and juniper. Distilled and macerated in Richmond with our friends from Brogan's Way distillery, the 2019 harvest yielded 341 bottles.
Australian distilled Anther Cherry Gin is a delight on ice with a cheese plate! if you are in the mood for a cocktail its hard to go past the Cherry Negroni with a dash of chocolate bitters, or our decadent Cherry Chocolate Cocktail - 30ml Anther Cherry Gin, 25ml Cacao liqueur, 5ml Campari, all stirred with ice and strained into an Easter egg.
