It all started with a desire to create a full-bodied gin – something that would pair nicely with a simple tonic, but could also feature in classic gin cocktails. And, of course, it needed to feature a combination of traditional and native botanicals.
The result was our Signature Gin. It has the highest volume of juniper berries of all our gins. A blend of lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit peel provides a citrus note that is neither tart nor too sweet, and is rounded out with native lemon myrtle. To provide additional depth to the gin, we have incorporated liquorice root, cloves and fennel seeds. The very mild herb characteristic to finish the gin comes from native oregano.
We like to drink the Signature Gin with Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic and a slice of orange. With all the different citrus in the gin you could use the citrus of your choice and it will still taste great!
